RII SWIM uses ECONYL® regenerated Nylon

We are proud to be using Italian ECONYL® techno-fabric made from landfill and ocean waste, which has 80% less CO2 footprint.

The composition of our swimwear fabric is 78% Econyl regenerated nylon, and 22% Elastane. These two yarns are interwoven to create a high quality fabric that is resistant to sunscreen, chlorine, and piling - ensuring that you’re able to use your swimwear for years to come. Carvico Vita is certified as STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. This is one of the world’s best-known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances.

While we started up this swimwear brand with the environment in mind, nylon (even re-generated nylon) is unfortunately still plastic!

This means that, over time, it is still possible for micro-plastics to end up in the ocean. If you purchase a suit from us, make sure to gently hand-wash in cold water and dry flat rather than throwing it in the washing machine. This also ensures a longer life for your gorgeous bikini!
